Terms and Conditions
1. Purpose of the Platform:
This platform helps connect workers and employers in a reliable, efficient, and secure manner.
2. Role of the Platform:
This platform only connects workers and employers. We do not manage salaries, employment contracts, or the day-to-day management of work. All employment-related decisions are made directly between the worker and the employer.
3. Registration & Information:
Workers must provide accurate and complete information. Employers must use this information appropriately. Providing false information may result in account suspension or termination.
4. Information We Collect:
IHURIRO collects and processes the following information: full names, age, gender, work arrangement, education level, phone number, languages spoken, place of residence, information of two family members (names and phone numbers), any additional information provided by the individual, a document from local authorities, and technical information such as IP address and login timestamps. The employer's phone number is stored and used for login verification, access control, and platform security purposes.
5. Information About Other Individuals:
A worker who provides information about family members confirms that they have the authority to provide such information and have informed the individuals concerned.
6. Accuracy of Information:
Workers confirm that all information provided is accurate. The platform may reject, remove, or suspend accounts containing false or misleading information.
7. Legal Basis for Processing Information:
Information is processed based on the worker's consent during registration, the agreement to use the platform, and the legitimate interests of the platform in connecting workers and employers.
8. Sharing of Information:
Worker information may be shared with employers to support informed hiring decisions, including names, phone numbers, and other information provided by the worker. Other information, such as local authority documents and details of two family members, will be stored and only disclosed when there is a legitimate reason to do so.
9. Display of Information on the Platform:
By registering, the worker agrees that certain information may be publicly displayed on the platform for employers to view, including name, age, gender, type of work, languages spoken, education level, location, and other relevant information provided by the worker. Phone numbers will not be publicly displayed unless payment has been made or another platform-approved process has been completed.
10. Display of Phone Numbers:
A worker's phone number will not be displayed until the required payment has been successfully completed.
11. How Payments Work:
All fees are determined by the platform. Payments are non-refundable except in cases where the platform has made an error.
12. Responsibilities of Employers:
Employers must use the platform in compliance with applicable laws. Misuse of the platform may result in legal action.
13. Data Protection Policy:
All information is stored and processed in accordance with Law No. 058/2021 of 13/10/2021 relating to the protection of personal data and privacy. Information is used solely for connecting workers and employers and will not be sold or shared without proper authorization.
14. Worker's Rights Regarding Personal Information:
Workers have the right to request access to their information, correct it, delete it, object to its processing, or withdraw their consent at any time. They may also lodge a complaint with the competent authority in Rwanda.
15. Data Retention Period:
Information is retained for as long as the account remains active or until the individual requests deletion, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
16. Account Deletion and Retention Period:
A worker may request deletion of their account at any time. After proper identity verification, the account will be immediately deactivated and removed from public view on the platform.
Personal information associated with the account will be securely retained for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of account deactivation. This retention period is intended to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain security, and support legal claims or defenses.
During this retention period, the information will not be publicly accessible and will only be accessed when necessary for the purposes described above.
After twelve (12) months, the personal information will be permanently deleted from the platform's systems unless a longer retention period is required by law.
17. Security Measures:
The platform uses HTTPS to secure communications, password encryption, restricted database access, and other technical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access.
18. International Data Transfers:
Information may be stored and processed on servers located outside Rwanda through cloud services (Supabase), in compliance with the requirements of Law No. 058/2021 relating to the protection of personal data.
19. Notification of Security Incidents:
In the event of a security incident that may affect personal information, IHURIRO will notify affected individuals and the relevant authority in Rwanda within the timeframe required by law.
20. Data Controller:
IHURIRO is responsible for the processing of personal information. For any questions regarding your information, you may contact us through the platform email address or the contact methods provided on the platform.
21. Changes to These Terms:
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of all changes.

23. Data Controller:
IHURIRO is the controller responsible for the processing of personal information used on the platform.
24. Changes to These Terms:
These Terms and Conditions may be updated at any time. Continued use of the platform after such changes have been made constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.
